People can be sitting for 6 to 10 hours a day, so here are some things to actively think about to improve your posture.
- Place your feet firmly on the floor with legs uncrossed. Get a footrest or stool if your feet do not reach the ground.
- Move your backrest to support the arch in your back.
- Be sure your hips are positioned slightly above your knees.
- Be sure your knees are not touching the seat.
- Move every hour! Stand up or shut your office door and lie down for a couple minutes.
